Dramatically situated on the rim of the Batoka Gorge just 8 kilometres downstream from Victoria Falls, Gorges Lodge offers one of the most spectacularly positioned accommodations in all of Africa — where the mighty Zambezi has carved a series of ancient volcanic gorges of vertiginous beauty over millions of years. The lodge's chalets and main areas are built to the very edge of the cliff, offering heart-stopping views straight down into the gorge and the churning rapids 200 metres below, while the infinity pool appears to hover above the abyss. Exclusive access to the gorge for private swimming, fly-fishing, and birdwatching is available only to lodge guests.
